Power foods are those foods that work extra hard, or harder than any other food to flatten your tummy. Some examples of those power foods include grapefruit, celery, green peppers, apples, carrots, etc. However, let me explain a little bit more. If you want to lose that belly fat, why not consider lean protein. Lean protein is known to boost your metabolism up so that you can shed the fat easily. Not only does it boost your metabolism, it also keeps you full longer and keeps your blood sugar under control. Eating a little lean protein in every meal that you have helps you build that muscle tissue and maintain. Whether you know it or not, this is an important aspect when trying to lose that tummy. Some examples of lean protein include fish, chicken, nuts, protein powder, lean beef, turkey, and more.

Consider eating more high fiber foods such as veggies, fruits, whole grains, beans, and even oatmeal. One of the reasons many people can’t seem to get rid of the belly fat is because their always hungry. How many times have you eaten a full meal and found yourself back in the kitchen about an hour or two later? Making all of your meals dominant in high fiber foods will help you stay full a lot longer without picking up the extra pounds. Broccoli and oatmeal are two of the top high fiber foods that will really get you moving. Not only will these foods help you get rid of the extra pounds, but it will give you plenty of energy, and make you feel good throughout the day as well.

However, these foods will work even better with a combination of regular physical activity and drinking plenty of water. Water makes it easier on your digestive system and it is known to flush out those bad toxins that might be causing you to hold weight. Exercising doesn’t have to mean joining a gym or doing strenuous exercising. It can be a walk around the block or playing a sport with the kids. Try a combination of these things for about 3 weeks and you will feel the difference.
